Of (not) Giving and (still) Losing
When you are made to forsake your most priced possessions, all that you have then is the love you can give and perhaps that is why it is said 'what is not given is lost'.
"Everything can be taken from a man but ...the last of the human freedoms - to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.A man who becomes conscious of the responsibility he bears toward a human being who affectionately waits for him, or to an unfinished work, will never be able to throw away his life. He knows the "why" for his existence, and will be able to bear almost any 'how'! " Frankl, Viktor E., Man's Search for Meaning

What a nice philosophy! I can't call it truth or otherwise as it may lead a discussion by itself. Hope to see the joy of experiencing such nicer philosophies. Found it easier to comment here than mail.
